SUARA GAMELAN MENGALUN dari arah bangsal yang terletak di sebelah timur sementara di bangsal besar yang disebut Bangsal Agung siap dilangsungkan suatu upacara besar yakni peresmian Raden Mas Ario Joko Pitolo dinyatakan sebagai putera mahkota. Meskipun penobatannya sendiri baru akan dilangsungkan beberapa tahun di muka, namun upacara peresmian dirinya sebagai putera mahkota merupakan upacara adat yang selalu dilaksanakan secara besar-besaran.

Ratusan undangan memenuhi Bangsal Agung. Mereka terdiri dari para tetamu khusus dari luar serta puluhan pejabat dan petinggi kerajaan, termasuk para tokoh agama dan tokoh masyarakat.
